Non ho mai letto il mitico romanzo di Lewis Carroll, né ne sono mai stata troppo attirata. Ma il mio interesse per la cinematografia dell'Europa dell'est mi ha portata ad un decisivo incontro con Jan Švankmaje, originale artista di animazione cinematografica ceco che nel 1988 ha deciso di sfidare il colosso Disney e offrire la sua personale interpretazione di Alice, ovviamente quasi unknown to the Italian public.
